For A Friend Who Helped Me

For A Friend Who Helped Me By Gillian E. Jones A person who will listen and not condemn Someone on whom you can depend They will not flee when bad times are here Instead they will be there to lend an ear They will think of ways to make you smile So you can be happy for a while When times are good and happy there after They will be there to share the laughter Do not forget your friends at all For they pick you up when you fall Do not expect to just take and hold Give friendship back, it is pure gold.

For A Friend Who Helped Me
By Gillian E. Jones

A person who will listen and not condemn
Someone on whom you can depend
They will not flee when bad times are here
Instead they will be there to lend an ear
They will think of ways to make you smile
So you can be happy for a while
When times are good and happy there after
They will be there to share the laughter
Do not forget your friends at all
For they pick you up when you fall
Do not expect to just take and hold
Give friendship back, it is pure gold.

TO LET GO TAKES LOVE

TO LET GO TAKES LOVE To Let Go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can’t do it for someone else. To Let Go is not to cut myself off, it is the realization I can’t control another. To Let Go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences. To Let Go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. To Let Go is not to try to change or blame another, it is to make the most of myself. To Let Go is not to care for, but to care about. To Let Go is not to fix, but to be supportive. To Let Go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being. To Let Go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their destinies. To Let Go is not to be protective, it is to permit another to face reality. To Let Go is not to deny, but to accept. To Let Go is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them. To Let Go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it. To Let Go is not to criticize and regulate anybody, but to try to become what I dream I can be. To Let Go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future. To Let Go is to fear less, and love more.

TO LET GO TAKES LOVE

To Let Go does not mean to stop caring,
it means I can’t do it for someone else.

To Let Go is not to cut myself off,
it is the realization I can’t control another.

To Let Go is not to enable,
but to allow learning from natural consequences.

To Let Go is to admit powerlessness,
which means the outcome is not in my hands.

To Let Go is not to try to change or blame another,
it is to make the most of myself.

To Let Go is not to care for,
but to care about.

To Let Go is not to fix,
but to be supportive.

To Let Go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.

To Let Go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies.

To Let Go is not to be protective,
it is to permit another to face reality.

To Let Go is not to deny,
but to accept.

To Let Go is not to nag, scold, or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To Let Go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it.

To Let Go is not to criticize and regulate anybody,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.

To Let Go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.

To Let Go is to fear less,
and love more.

Do Not Quit!

DO NOT QUIT! By Edgar A. Guest When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low but the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit... Rest if you must, but don't you quit! Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many failures turn about When we might have won had we stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow... You may succeed with another blow. Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor’s cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out... And you can never tell how close you are It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

DO NOT QUIT!
By Edgar A. Guest

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low but the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit…
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many failures turn about
When we might have won had we stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow…
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out…
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Kindness

Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots, Kind words are the flowers, Kind deeds are the fruits, Take care of your garden And keep out the weeds, Fill it with sunshine Kind words, and Kind deeds. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
